A total of 79 relatives of fallen soldiers in Chieng An ward registered to provide DNA samples. The ward police reviewed and verified eligible participants, assigned officers to ensure adequate preparation of facilities, personnel, and equipment for the collection process, and arranged vehicles to take elderly and infirm relatives to and from the sampling site.
The DNA collection campaign plays an important role in building Vietnam's national DNA database to support the identification of unidentified fallen soldiers through genetic matching. It also helps fulfill the wishes of martyrs' families while reflecting the nation's enduring traditions of remembering those who sacrificed for the country and expressing gratitude to those who rendered meritorious service./.
