Drill on armed attack response, bomb disposal held at Son La Hydropower Plant

The provincial Mobile Police Unit, in coordination with Son La Hydropower Company, conducted a training exercise and drill on responding to armed attacks and bomb disposal at the Son La Hydropower Plant on October 7.

The mobile police force moves and approaches the target.

The exercise was based on a simulated scenario in which an armed group attacks the plant to destroy property and disrupt security and order. The mobile police force promptly coordinated with relevant agencies to encircle, subdue, and arrest the attackers while simultaneously conducting bomb and mine clearance operations to ensure absolute safety for the plant area.

Forces coordinate to extinguish a fire caused by the attackers at the scene.

Through the exercise, participating units aimed to proactively prepare personnel, equipment, weapons, support tools, and explosives; conduct training and drills for maximum effectiveness; help officers and soldiers firmly grasp command procedures and operational methods; clearly define positions, tasks, and actions of each unit; ensure close coordination among forces; and respond flexibly to complex situations to avoid passivity or surprise.

The drill contributed to enhancing combat readiness, ensuring absolute safety for the Son La Hydropower Plant, and maintaining political security and social order in the area.
