Experts share agricultural knowledge in Mai Chau

Experts shared knowledge on seed selection and cultivation techniques to boost yields and improve the quality of key fruit crops in the northern midland and mountainous region at a programme in Moc Chau ward, Son La province, on August 16.

The event was jointly held by the Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Son La Farmers’ Association, and the Moc Chau ward People’s Committee.

Apart from agricultural experts and researchers, the event brough together more than 200 representatives from cooperatives and farmers in Moc Chau and neighbouring wards and communes.

Discussions also covered solutions for handling livestock waste after floods, risks of dangerous disease outbreaks in pig herds and containment measures, and approaches to tackling common parasites in concentrated poultry farming.

Experts share best practices in crop and livestock care.

The programme created a forum for cooperatives and farmers to exchange information, support one another, and strengthen their technical knowledge and experience to advance local agricultural production./.
