Happiness brought to poor household

The Son La High School for the Gifted recently handed over a new house to the family of Tong Thi Huong in Bo hamlet, Chieng Mung commune, Son La province. Huong’s family is a poor household in extremely difficult circumstances, and she has suffered from a mobility disability for many years.

Construction of the new house began in early October 2025, with a total cost of nearly 80 million VND (3,040 USD). Of this amount, staff, teachers, and students of the Son La High School for the Gifted contributed 70 million VND, while the remaining funds came from local community donations.

After one month of construction, the new spacious and solid house was completed, helping the family have a stable home and greater confidence to move forward in life.

The programme of doing away with temporary houses for poor households with mobility disabilities is a meaningful and humanitarian activity that demonstrates the sense of responsibility and compassion of the school’ staff, teachers, and students. It spreads the value of kindness within the community, contributing to the goal of “leaving no one behind.”
