"Happy Home" turns girl’s dream come true

The provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation’s Son La chapter on July 17 officially inaugurated the "Happy Home" project for Vu Linh Chi, a student from Chieng Sinh ward.

Both of her parents passed away early, and she lived with her grandmother in a dilapidated and downgraded house. Despite the challenging circumstances, she has always been determined to excel in her study and self-development.

Leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chieng Sinh ward, the sponsoring organisation, and the family representatives inaugurate the "Happy Home" for Vu Linh Chi.

Delegates present gifts to Vu Linh Chi's family.

To help Chi overcome difficulties and rise above her circumstances, the provincial Youth Union's Standing Board mobilised resources and collaborated with the provincial Department of Home Affairs and Thoa Nguyen’s class system to secure a donation of 100 million VND (3,800 USD) for the construction of the house. This initiative provides Chi and her family with a sturdy, safe home. The 60sq.m single-story house has one living room and two bedrooms.

The sponsoring organisation and the provincial centre for youth activities present gifts to Vu Linh Chi’s family.

The project contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual support and love, assisting those in need, and building a better living environment for future generations.
