Households relocated from landslide-prone areas

Police officers from Muong Chien and Chieng Mai communes, along with grassroots security forces, on July 1-2 assisted local households in relocating from areas at risk of landslides.

Prolonged heavy rainfall in recent days in Muong Chien commune has triggered landslide risks at several locations, threatening the safety of La Van Toan’s household in Bon hamlet.

In Chieng Mai commune, the downpours caused a landslide that damaged the home of Lo Van Thien in Vuong Me hamlet, while four other houses were also affected, requiring urgent relocation.

Police officers in Chieng Mai commune, together with fire and rescue forces and local residents, assist affected households in relocating to safer areas.

Upon receiving the information, tens of police officers and grassroots security forces were deployed to help households move their belongings to safe locations, set up temporary shelters, and ensure stability for the families.
