Incense offered in tribute to fallen heroes at Moc Chau Martyrs' Cemetery

The Son La provincial Steering Committee for the Search, Recovery and Identification of Unidentified Martyrs' Remains, together with Moc Chau ward authorities, on June 29 offered incense in tribute to heroic martyrs at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Moc Chau ward.

Before the spirits of the fallen heroes, members of the Steering Committee, together with leaders, officials, Party members and residents of Moc Chau ward, expressed their profound respect and deep gratitude to heroic martyrs who fought and sacrificed their lives for the nation's independence and freedom, for socialism, and for the happiness of the people.

The Moc Chau ward Martyrs' Cemetery is the final resting place of 194 unidentified martyrs, the highest number among all martyrs' cemeteries in Son La province.

 As part of the 500-day campaign to accelerate the search, recovery and identification of martyrs' remains, Moc Chau ward has made thorough preparations in all aspects and worked closely with relevant agencies and competent forces to conduct exhumations, collect DNA samples and identify the remains of fallen soldiers in a solemn, accurate, and safe manner./.
