At the event, partner units, including FPT Digital Retail JSC, the Xuan Am Son La charity group, the youth union of the provincial Health Department and the Binh Yen pharmacy chain, provided 180 gift packages to disadvantaged households, 270 gifts to local students and 11 others under the “Supporting Students to Stay in School” programme.
They also donated 67 solar-powered lights, inaugurated a technology classroom at the Muong Lan Border Guard Post, and offered free health checkups, consultations, medicines and haircuts. The programme was valued at more than 600 million VND (23,000 USD).

The programme also featured a range of lively activities, including a banh chung (square glutinous rice cake) making contest, stick pushing, con (cloth ball) throwing and other traditional games, along with cultural performances, drawing broad participation from border guard officers and local residents.
The programme is an annual initiative to support disadvantaged families, foster a festive atmosphere ahead of the Lunar New Year, and further strengthen ties between the border guards and local communities.
