Lunar New Year support extended to students, vulnerable families in Gia Phu

The provincial Centre for Youth Activities, in coordination with Gia Phu commune and partner organisations, on January 27 held a Tet (Lunar New Year) charity programme at Sap Xa Primary and Secondary School.

During the event, the volunteer group distributed 30 Tet gift packages, 50 scholarships, 5,000 glasses of milk, and 395 winter coats to local students.

The programme also provided free medical checkups, consultations, and medicines to nearly 400 students, along with recreational activities and a New Year buffet. The total cost of the programme exceeded 200 million VND (7,665 USD)

On the occasion, Gia Phu commune distributed 72 gift packages worth a total of 36 million VND to households facing economic hardship in the locality.

The series of activities highlighted the commitment of local authorities, organisations, and individuals to supporting disadvantaged youth, promoting solidarity and compassion ahead of the Lunar New Year.
