Heavy rainfall from the night of July 16 through July 18 caused extensive damage across Ngoc Chien commune. A total of 49 houses were affected, while 59 landslide sites were recorded along Provincial Road 109. Approximately 21 hectares of crops were washed away or buried by debris. Twenty-two fish cages and more than 11 tonnes of fish were lost, and numerous transportation, irrigation, electricity, and domestic water supply facilities sustained damage. Total losses are estimated at about 10.5 billion VND (399,019 USD).
Upon arriving in the affected area, the mobile police officers quickly coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and on-site response forces to clear mud and landslide debris, reopen blocked roads, help residents move their belongings, clean homes, and carry out initial repairs to damage caused by the disaster.
Despite continued adverse weather conditions and the fact that many roads remain cut off, the mobile police force continues working alongside local response teams in Ngoc Chien commune to address the aftermath of the floods, restore normal living conditions as quickly as possible, and help local people overcome the difficulties.
