During the campaign, Youth Union members participated in environmental clean-up activities, including collecting litter, clearing overgrown vegetation, and improving the surroundings of 65 historical and revolutionary sites across the province, including martyrs' cemeteries, memorial monuments, and historical relic sites.
The activities helped create cleaner, greener, and more beautiful public spaces while demonstrating the Vietnamese tradition of “when drinking water, remember its source,” and expressing profound gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed their lives for the nation's independence and freedom.
The campaign is an annual activity of Son La's youth, promoting the pioneering and volunteering spirit of Youth Union members in protecting the environment, preserving sites that commemorate the nation's revolutionary heritage, and educating younger generations about patriotism and revolutionary ideals and traditions in celebration of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – 2026)./.
