Muong Gion Youth Union promotes effective use of entrusted funds

Muong Gion commune’s Youth Union has over 610 members. Through entrusted funds from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, it is currently managing 12 billion VND (454,847 USD), providing loans for more than 200 households to develop production activities.

 

"Youth union members in Muong Gion commune take care of macadamia trees.

Loan disbursement and interest collection are conducted in strict accordance with regulations, with no overdue debts and funds used for the right purposes. Thanks to the preferential capital, many youth union members have confidently invested in livestock farming, fruit cultivation, the VAC (garden–pond–cage) model, and integrated services.

To date, the commune has developed four exemplary economic models led by youth union members, initially creating stable income, generating employment, and contributing to poverty reduction.
