Muong La calls for joint efforts in eliminating substandard housing

Muong La district on February 12 launched a 79-day emulation campaign to do away with temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

In response to the nationwide housing programme initiated by the Prime Minister, and the call from the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee with the message “Millions of loving hearts – thousands of happy homes,” Muong La has completed housing support for 54 families by the end of January.

Aiming to support families without proper housing or those living in temporary, dilapidated conditions, Muong La is pushing to complete the construction of 339 new homes and the repair of 20 others within 79 days, from February 10 to April 30. Each new home will be funded with 60 million VND (about 2,346 USD), while each repaired one will get 30 million VND.

At the ceremony, district leaders called on agencies, businesses, and individuals to support the campaign under the slogan: “Contribute what you have, whether big or small.”

The event saw an immediate wave of generosity, with delegates, local authorities, businesses, civil servants, and residents contributing over 218 million VND.
