At Thuan Chau High School, more than 1,370 staff, teachers, and students attended the session, where speakers from Brigade 126 presented on the topic of “Firmly Protecting Vietnam’s Sea and Island Sovereignty in the New Situation”, as well as on sea and island affairs and resource mobilisation for the navy in 2026.
The programme helped teachers, staff, and students better understand the position, role, and importance of Vietnam’s seas and islands; and the protection of national maritime sovereignty. It provided students with a clearer understanding of the Vietnam Naval Academy, helping them with future study orientations, thus contributing to the development of the navy and the protection of maritime sovereignty in the current context.
In Thuan Chau commune, members of the Party Committee, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front, local agencies, political organisations, and secretaries and deputy secretaries of grassroots Party cells attended a briefing by Brigade 126.
The presentation covered the current situation in Vietnam’s seas and islands, activities of other countries in the East Sea, results in defending Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty, achievements in building a modern navy, and current challenges in safeguarding national maritime sovereignty.
This helped participants gain a deeper understanding of maritime sovereignty protection and raised awareness and responsibility among officials and Party members regarding the defence of the country’s seas and islands.
