Over 100 soldiers deployed to support flood recovery in Chieng So commune

More than 100 officers and soldiers from the Son La provincial Military Command were deployed on July 27 to support residents in Chieng So commune in overcoming the aftermath of recent flooding.

Officers and soldiers of the Son La provincial Military Command assist local residents in overcoming natural disaster aftermath.

The delegation was led by Colonel Chu Van Thanh, member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Commander of the provincial Military Command.

The soldiers coordinated closely with local authorities and residents to conduct damage assessments, set up temporary shelters, relocate people and belongings to safe areas, assist households with clearing mud and debris, repair damaged homes, and search for individuals missing due to flash floods.

On this occasion, the provincial Military Command provided emergency relief, including 200 boxes of instant noodles, 100 boxes of drinking water, and 5 tonnes of rice, and offered financial support of 5 million VND (190 USD) to each family that lost a loved one in the disaster.
