Over 1,000 people participate in blood donation day

The Son La provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organise the 2025 Voluntary Blood Donation Day, under the slogan “Donate Blood to Save Lives – Donate Regularly” at Tay Bac University on October 5.

The event was held with the participation and support of various organisations, including Son La provincial Department of Public Security, Son La College, Tay Bac University, Battalion 2, Northwest Mobile Police Regiment under the Ministry of Public Security, Na San Airport Base Battalion, Division 371 under the Air Defence - Air Force Service, Agribank – Son La branch, and VietinBank – Son La branch.

Youth union members of the provincial Newspaper, Radio and Television participate in voluntary blood donation.

With the spirit of “Each drop of blood given – One life saved,” the event attracted over 1,000 participants, including officials, public servants, teachers, armed forces personnel, youth union members, young people, workers, and residents from To Hieu, Chieng Coi, Chieng Sinh, and Chieng An wards, all volunteering to donate blood.

During the programme, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion successfully collected 791 units of blood. This vital resource will be distributed to healthcare facilities, helping ensure timely emergency care and treatment for patients.
