Over 3,110 households in Phieng Pan borrow capital to invest in production

Phieng Pan commune was established on the basis of merging three communes of Chieng Luong, Phieng Pan and Na Ot, with 45 hamlets, and more than 4,800 households, of which poor households account for nearly 22%.

Implementing social policy credit programmes, the commune's socio-political organisations have received over 191 billion VND (7.3 million USD) in entrusted funds, through 83 savings groups, to lend 3,119 households to invest in production development, and renovate clean water facilities and housing.

The groups regularly visit households to inspect and guide the effective use of loans, helping poor households and policy beneficiaries to improve their quality of life.
