Over 33 billion VND raised for humanitarian work

Since the beginning of this year, the provincial Red Cross Society’s chapters at all levels have mobilised over 33 billion VND (1.26 million USD) from the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee, as well as from organisations, individuals, and benefactors.

Provincial Red Cross Society leaders distribute free medicine to residents of Chieng La commune.

They have funded the construction of a boarding school kitchen at Chieng Di 2 branch of Van Ho Kindergarten; organised  four “Humanitarian Markets” in the communes of Van Ho, Muoi Noi, Long Phieng, and Sop Cop; and provided free medical checkups, health consultations, and medicine in Gia Phu commune.

They have also visited and presented over 58,200 gifts to poor and near-poor households, policy beneficiaries, and families affected by floods.
