Phieng Cam launches scattered tree planting campaign

The Party Committee of Phieng Cam commune, in coordination with the People's Procuracy of Region 4 – Son La, the Mai Son Forest Protection Unit, and Agribank – Mai Son branch, on July 20 jointly organised a ceremony to launch a scattered tree planting campaign to celebrate the first communal Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term.

At the ceremony, leaders of the communal Party Committee emphasised the vital role of trees in environmental protection and improving quality of life. They also called on local residents to raise awareness and actively participate in planting and caring for trees at home and in public areas, contributing to forest conservation and climate change adaptation.

Immediately after the launch ceremony, a large number of officials, soldiers, youth union members, and local residents joined together to plant 1,000 cherry blossom trees around the communal People’s Committee headquarters and along the road passing through the hamlets of Long Hom, Nam Put, Nong Tau Mong, and Nong Tau Thai, contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful living environment.
