Programme supports students in Ta Vat hamlet

The Border Guard Command, in collaboration with the volunteer group “Mam sach vung cao” from Hai Phong city, organised a programme to support students at Ta Vat hamlet satellite site of Phieng Pan Primary School in Phieng Pan commune on August 23–24.

 

The volunteer team provides free medical check-ups for residents in Ta Vat hamlet, Phieng Pan commune.

Military medics from Phieng Pan Border Guard Station distribute free medicine to local people.

During the programme, doctors from Hai Duong Paediatric Hospital, Hai Duong University of Medical Technology, Phieng Pan Border Guard Station, and Phieng Pan commune’s Health Station offered free medical check-ups and medicine to nearly 400 people. At the same time, the volunteer team repainted and repaired classrooms at Ta Vat satellite school, offered snacks, and held reading activities for students.

In addition, the team presented the school with a water tank, a water purifier, 30 buckets of paint, and a school drum. They also donated eight gift sets to poor households, and 170 gift packages including backpacks, clothes, and school supplies to preschool and primary students. The total value of the programme exceeded 150 million VND (5,690 USD).
