Provincial Party Committee Office presents Tet gifts in Muong Sai commune

A working delegation from the provincial Party Committee Office on January 30 reviewed the local socio-economic development situation, visited, and presented Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to agencies, schools, and households classified as poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged in Muong Sai commune.

Pursuant to the provincial People’s Committee’s decision on assigning agencies, units, and enterprises to take charge of and support Area III communes in Sơn La province for the 2021–2026 period, the provincial Party Committee Office was assigned to support Muong Sai commune. 

Over the past period, the Office has regularly coordinated with the local Party committees and authorities to grasp grassroots conditions, address difficulties, and orient solutions for production development while strengthening social welfare work in the locality. 

At the same time, it has mobilised funding sources to assist Muong Sai in implementing models such as pineapple cultivation using agricultural plastic mulch, bamboo shoot (Bat Do bamboo) planting, breeding goat farming, and the installation of solar-powered lighting works, along with many other valuable gifts.

At the programme, the provincial Party Committee Office presented five gift packages to local agencies, schools, and the commune health station. In addition, it handed over 50 Lunar New Year gift packages from the provincial Red Cross Society to poor households in the commune. Each package was valued at 650,000 VND (25 USD), including confectionery and 500,000 VND in cash, contributing to encouraging disadvantaged residents to enjoy a joyful and warm Lunar New Year.
