Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee receives donations for disaster recovery

Quang Van Huong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council; Hoang Thi Doi, member of the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council and deputy head of the provincial Delegation to National Assembly; and other members, delivered donations to support efforts in overcoming damage caused by natural disasters in the province on September 8.

At the donation reception, the provincial Delegation to the National Assembly presented 25 million VND (946 USD) to aid recovery efforts. This timely support demonstrates the deep concern of the delegation for the lives and social welfare of the local people, and reflects the responsibility of National Assembly deputies to their constituents.

Leaders of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee provided a brief update on the damage caused by floods and the process of receiving and distributing donations to affected areas. They also expressed sincere thanks to the delegation for their attention, encouragement, and support, which serve as a great source of motivation to help people in disaster-hit areas stabilise their lives.

On the same day, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also received 100 million VND from Vietnam Airlines Corporation, 50 million VND from Thanh Dat Co., Ltd., and over 39 million VND from Son La Hydropower Company to support natural disaster recovery.

As of 5:00 pm on September 8, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Son La province had received over 50.21 billion VND (1.9 million USD) in donations from agencies, organisations, enterprises, and individuals both inside and outside the province to support the local people in overcoming the aftermath of natural disasters.
