Revenue from minerals exceeds 155 billion VND

In 2025, Son La province has strengthened state management over mineral resources, focusing on advising and organising auctions, issuing exploration and mining licenses in accordance with the planning, contributing to the efficient use of resources and increasing budget revenue.

The province has organised auctions for the mining rights in 87 out of 162 planned mineral areas; issued exploration licences for 52 areas, including sand, limestone for construction materials, stone for producing sand, clay for bricks and tiles, and fill dirt; approved 28 exploration reports; and granted 23 mining licenses.

Total revenue from mining activities reached 155.3 billion VND (5.95 million USD), including 58.75 billion VND from mining rights fees, 61 billion VND from resource taxes, 4.25 billion VND from environmental restoration deposits, 20.9 billion VND from environmental protection fees, and 10.4 billion VND from land rental.
