Six “Great Unity” houses handed over to poor households in Long Phieng

The Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station has just coordinated with the People's Public Security Ceremonial Unit; Regiments E30 and E31; and Hanoi’s Giap Bat Primary School to inaugurate and hand over six “Great Unity” houses to households living in difficult circumstances in Long Phieng commune, Son La province.

 

Delegates hand over a “Great Unity” house to the family of Song Thi Vang in Pa Kha 2 hamlet, Long Phieng commune.

Construction on these houses started in May 2025. Each, 80 to 100sq.m, has a cold-rolled steel roof, wooden walls, and a solid cement floor. Each household is supported with 60 million VND (2,290 USD), along with more than 50 workdays of officers and soldiers of the Chieng Tuong Border Guard Station.

On this occasion, the sponsors also presented 47 gifts to policy beneficiaries, and poor students with good learning performance. They also gave two water purifiers and 500 books and comics to the Long Phieng A Primary School and the Chieng Tuong Primary School; visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Station and visited the National Border Marker No. 242.
