The project, whose construction began on July 30, 2026, has a total investment of 343 billion VND (13.2 million USD) and was approved by the provincial People’s Committee under Decision No. 1714/QD-UBND dated August 21, 2024. More than 331 billion VND of the total investment was allocated for compensation, support and resettlement for 76 households, covering approximately 6,500 sq.m. These included 12 households along Dien Bien street, from Trang Bridge to the Road 1A intersection; 10 households on land managed by the Son La Urban Environment and Services Joint Stock Company; and 54 in the resettlement area of Park 26/10.
More than 7 billion VND was earmarked for construction and the completion of technical infrastructure in Lots 1 and 2 along the Nam La stream, landscaping along Dien Bien street, road widening and improvements to the Road 1A intersection. The project also included the construction of pavements, drainage and lighting systems, public toilets and traffic safety facilities.
Completed and opened to the public ahead of the second Son La Coffee Festival 2026, the project helps improve transport infrastructure, enhance the landscape around Tay Bac Square and facilitate travel for local residents.
