Son La Hydropower Company holds firefighting and rescue training course

Son La Hydropower Company, in coordination with the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Division under the Son La provincial Department of Public Securities, organised a training course on fire prevention, firefighting, rescue operations, and a firefighting drill for 2026 on August 3-4.

More than 200 participants attended the course, where they received updated knowledge on fire prevention, firefighting and rescue regulations, common causes of fires and preventive measures, emergency evacuation and first-aid skills, as well as the operation and use of on-site firefighting equipment.

At the Son La Hydropower Plant, participants practiced extinguishing fires involving gasoline trays and gas cylinders, and took part in a firefighting drill based on a simulated fire incident in the plant's central control building.

The training course aimed to enhance fire safety awareness, improve emergency response skills, and strengthen the operational readiness of the on-site firefighting force, thereby helping ensure the highest level of safety for one of Vietnam's key national hydropower facilities.
