Son La Power Company works to ensure stable power supply for National Day, new school year opening

With Vietnam’s National Day (September 2) and the opening of the 2026-2027 school year taking place close together, Son La Power Company has put in place measures to ensure safe and stable electricity supplies for political, cultural and social events as well as household needs across the province. The company is also preparing to supply power to schools, with particular attention to 13 inter-level boarding schools in border communes.

The company has instructed its units to step up inspections of power lines, substations and areas serving critical loads. They have also been told to identify and address potential operational risks, clear vegetation along power corridors and take preventive measures against outages as the rainy and stormy season remains unpredictable.

Local power units are coordinating with authorities to identify the timing and locations of political, cultural and social events, particularly celebrations marking the National Day, so they can arrange appropriate power supply and operating plans.

The company is giving particular attention to power supply plans for inauguration and new academic year opening ceremonies at the 13 inter-level boarding schools in border communes. It is coordinating inspections of power sources and related grids while preparing backup plans to respond promptly to any unexpected incidents.

From National Day celebrations through the start of the new school year, Son La Power Company will maintain a state of readiness, with operating plans, personnel, equipment and vehicles in place to ensure a safe and stable electricity supply.
