Son La Red Cross Society brings Tet to flood-hit families in Suoi To

The provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Suoi To commune, on February 5 held the “Tet for Flood-Affected Communities” programme.

At the event, the delegation visited and presented gifts to 150 households, including poor and near-poor families, and those facing special hardship and affected by natural disasters in 2025 in Suoi To commune. It also donated blankets, warm hats and confectionery to pupils at Ban Mai Suoi To Kindergarten.

Total support exceeded 90 million VND (3,466 USD), funded by the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s Central Committee and individual donors.

Through the presentation of practical gifts, the programme provided timely encouragement and support to households affected by flooding, helping them enjoy a more complete and warmer Tet, while also spreading the spirit of humanitarianism, compassion and community solidarity.
