Son La Social Security organises activities in response to Vietnam Health Insurance Day

In response to Vietnam Health Insurance Day (July 1), the provincial Social Security and organisations supporting participant development on July 4 organised a launch ceremony for a communication campaign to provide information, answer questions, and offer consultations on health insurance policies for local residents. The event was held simultaneously at all local social security offices.

Under the theme "Universal Health Insurance – The Foundation of Sustainable Social Security," the campaign focuses on raising public awareness of the role, significance, and humanitarian values of the health insurance policy, highlighting the new provisions of the 2024 Health Insurance Law and regulations that took effect on July 1, 2026, and explaining the benefits of participating in health insurance. 

It also encourages people to maintain continuous health insurance coverage to ensure access to medical examination and treatment benefits; and promoting administrative reform, digital transformation in the health insurance sector, as well as the use of digital health insurance cards through the VssID and VNeID applications or chip-based citizen identification cards when accessing healthcare services.

Officials from Son La provincial Social Security and organisations supporting participant development provide consultations on health insurance policies to a business household in To Hieu ward.

Immediately after the launch ceremony, officials from the provincial Social Security and local social security offices, in coordination with organisations supporting participant development, conducted small-group communication activities in residential communities. They also provided consultations and encouraged residents to enroll in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance schemes, while distributing leaflets and communication materials to the public.
