Support delivered to flood-affected residents in Huoi Mot commune

A delegation from the provincial Red Cross Society and Food Bank Northern Vietnam visited and provided aid to households severely affected by Storm Wipha in Huoi Mot commune on August 3.

The commune suffered extensive damage due to heavy rains and flooding, with 184 households reporting losses to homes and property. Among them, 54 families had their houses completely destroyed or swept away.

In an effort to support and encourage affected residents, the delegation distributed 54 relief packages, each worth 1.7 million VND (64.8 USD). The aid included essential supplies and 1 million VND in cash per household, helping local families begin to rebuild and stabilise their lives in the aftermath of the disaster.
