Training held for personnel tasked with fire prevention, firefighting, rescue

The police division of fire prevention and control and rescue under the provincial Department of Public Security on November 17 provided training for 200 members assigned to fire safety and rescue duties from the wards of To Hieu, Chieng An, Chieng Coi and Chieng Sinh.

Participants were updated on legal regulations on fire safety and rescue work, and trained in basic fire-prevention and emergency-response skills, including first aid and evacuation procedures in case of a blaze.

They also practised using and maintaining common firefighting equipment, including portable fire extinguishers, conducted rescue drills, applied basic first-aid techniques for victims, and handled specific scenarios in on-site rescue operations.

The training helped enhance participants’ professional skills and readiness, strengthen their ability to respond proactively to fires, explosions, or accidents, and raise awareness and responsibility for preventing and mitigating fire risks.
