The youth union and students’ association of Tay Bac University held a ceremony on April 24 to unveil the plaque for the youth project titled "National Flag Road," in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025), and to welcome the upcoming Party Congress of the university for the 2025–2030 term.
The Le Quy Don Secondary School in Son La city on April 23 coordinated with the PSTC Son La Skills Education Centre under the Tri Duc Educational Technology JSC to organise a programme on sex education and child abuse prevention, drawing more than 1,200 students and teachers.
Since the beginning of the year, the Red Cross Societies at all levels across Son La province have received support and resources from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, as well as donations from organisations and philanthropists both within and outside the province. The total value of cash, goods, and essential supplies donated has exceeded 22.7 billion VND (873,749 USD).

The Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Women's Union, the Farmers' Union, the Study Promotion Association, and the Youth Union of Son La province, held a conference on April 18 on collaboration efforts for the 2025 high school graduation examination.
In response to Vietnam Book Day (April 21) and World Book and Copyright Day (April 23), the Son La provincial Youth and Children Centre on April 18 organised a Book Reading Festival with the theme “Aspirations to Soar into the Future”.
The Son La Provincial Military Command on April 18 organised a Book and Reading Culture Day themed “Books on the Great Spring 1975 Victory – The Power of National Solidarity, the Aspiration for Peace and National Independence, and the Will for Reunification.”
The Veterans' Association of Son La province, in coordination with the provincial Department of Public Security, organised a training conference in Mai Son district on April 16 on crime, drug, prostitution, and HIV/AIDS prevention and control for 140 officials and members of the Veterans' Associations of Mai Son and Yen Chau districts, and Moc Chau township.
The People’s Committee of Moc Chau township launched the 2025 communication campaign on the prevention of child and consanguineous marriages in Chieng Khua commune on April 16.
As part of an initiative to mobilise social sources for solar-powered lighting systems in hamlets and residential clusters, since 2022, Bac Yen district has directed communes to raise awareness among residents about the benefits and significance of installing solar energy systems, and to provide consultations on installing systems tailored to the specific conditions of each area.
Since the beginning of the year, Son La province has offered 1,866 administrative procedures on the provincial Public Service Portal and 716 procedures on the National Public Service Portal.
The provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, on April 2 organised a consultation workshop on “the current situation and solutions for managing, protecting, and using water resources in Son La province."
The Son La Power Company on April 2 held a customer conference to provide updates on power supply, energy-saving initiatives, and load adjustments in 2024 and 2025.
In the first quarter of 2025, medical facilities across Son La province provided check-ups and treatment for 357,418 patients, including 54,983 inpatients, 194,378 outpatients, and 27,054 referrals to higher-level medical centres.
