Since 2021, Son La province has organised training for over 68,000 workers at various levels, with many programmes to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and big data. This has helped raise the proportion of workers with vocational training to 61.4% of the total workforce.
To create a breakthrough in job creation, improve labour quality, and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development, on October 14, 2025, the People's Committee of Son La province issued Project No. 2553 on sending workers from Son La province to work abroad under contracts for the period 2025-2030.
In the 2025-2026 academic year, Phieng Cam commune has six schools, with nearly 4,200 students enrolled across preschool, primary, and secondary levels.
After more than three months of implementing the two-tier local government model, the Public Administrative Service Centre of Pung Banh commune has received and processed 325 administrative procedure applications across 12 areas under its jurisdiction.
