The General Council of Agriculture and Rural Development Vietnam, in coordination with Son La’s Department of Agriculture and Environment, on June 24 held a seminar on green and circular agriculture aligned with international standards, while promoting trade and investment in sustainable agricultural products in Son La province.

The provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, in coordination with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, on June 23 held the opening ceremony of the 14th “Red Journey” 2026 under the theme: “Son La – One drop of blood – A million hopes.”

The Son La provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, the Son La Hanh Trinh Do (Red Journey) Club, and a large number of volunteers on June 22 offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Monument at Tay Bac (Northwest) Square and joined a parade to promote voluntary blood donation, kicking off the 14th Red Journey 2026.

The Traffic Police Division under the provincial Department of Public Security, in coordination with commune- and ward-level police, on June 19 simultaneously held a road traffic safety awareness and legal education programme for nearly 2,500 students and teachers at secondary and high schools, as well as residents across the province.

As each exam season arrives, the blue shirts of youth and student volunteers once again become a familiar sight at test venues across the country, standing alongside candidates and their parents to provide support. During this year’s national high school graduation exam, the image of energetic and dedicated volunteers has continued to resonate, underscoring the pioneering and volunteering spirit of Vietnam’s younger generation in serving the community.

For generations, the traditional brocade weaving craft has been closely tied to the daily life of the Thai and Muong ethnic communities in Gia Phu commune. Beyond preserving the distinctive cultural values of these ethnic groups, brocade products have now been diversified in design to meet market demand, helping to create jobs and improve incomes for local residents.

The steering committees for the search for, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains of Military Region 2 and Son La province, and To Hieu ward on June 11 jointly organised DNA sample collection for the identification of fallen soldiers’ remains at the ward Martyrs’ Cemetery. This move forms part of the nationwide 500-day campaign to accelerate the effort.

A task force responsible for implementing Project 06 on administrative reform and digital transformation in Son La on June 8 launched the “Digital Summer Campaign with VNeID”, aimed at guiding citizens in using digital services and supporting local residents in implementing the project.

The provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the People's Committee of Chieng An ward, on June 4 held a ceremony in response to World Environment Day (June 5), the 2026 Action Month for the Environment, World Oceans Day, Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2026, and the 2026 National Week for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation.

The provincial steering committee for the search, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains, together with leaders of To Hieu ward, on June 3 held an incense-offering ceremony in tribute to heroic martyrs at the ward Martyrs’ Cemetery before carrying out the exhumation and collection of samples for DNA testing to identify the martyrs’ remains.

More than 19,000 ninth-grade students across Son La province on June 1 completed their Literature test, the first in the high school entrance examination for the 2026–2027 academic year. This year, the province has established 44 examination venues with a total of 817 rooms.

The Son La provincial Department of Public Security on June 1 held a ceremony to announce the State President’s decision on 2026 amnesty for inmates serving sentences at the department’s detention centre.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the 2025 rankings of the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index) for provinces and cities, as well as the Satisfaction Index of Public Administrative Services (SIPAS).
