The programme brings together 68 students aged 9 to 16 from schools across the province.

At the launch of the “Learning to be a police officer” programme 2025.
Over the course of seven days, from June 20–26, at the headquarters of the mobile police unit of the Department of Public Security, the children will take part in a range of activities, including lessons on the history and development of the People’s Public Security forces.
They will receive basic training in internal regulations, formation drills, and martial arts techniques, as well as hands-on practice in rescue and emergency response skills, escape methods, and how to identify and prevent criminal activities in daily life.
The programme also provides life skills education, including guidance on how to respond to drowning situations. Participants will develop teamwork, presentation, and self-expression skills, and learn how to handle, communicate, and respond to dangerous situations. In addition, they will take part in cultural exchanges, sports, arts activities, and campfire events—all aimed at building confidence, communication abilities, and social skills.

The programme aims to instill the traditions of the People’s Public Security forces while fostering self-reliance, discipline, and life skills among participating children through military-style experiences.
It also offers a healthy, engaging, and meaningful summer environment, equipping students with essential life skills to become more confident, dynamic, and proactive in integrating and developing within society.
