During the 2015–2025 period, the provincial Border Guard Command effectively rolled out numerous grassroots-oriented models and programmes, helping improve living standards for border residents.

A total of 26 “Outstanding mass mobilisation” models were been maintained. It organised 10 editions of the “Border guard spring warms the hearts of villagers” programme and 100 others at the border post level, with total funding of over 43 billion VND (64 million USD). The force built 34 classrooms and 59 great unity houses, while joining hands to repair and construct 512 homes for local residents.

Relevant agencies also coordinated the donation of more than 1,320 breeding cows to poor households, and effectively maintained models such as the “Breeding goat bank”, “Garden–pond–livestock farming”, and “Rice jar of compassion,” providing over 32 tonnes of rice to disadvantaged families.

Under the “Accompanying students to school – Border posts foster children” programme, between 60 and 90 disadvantaged students received sponsorship each year. The force opened 33 literacy classes for 895 participants, organised medical check-ups and treatment for more than 17,200 people, and provided free medicines worth over 3.5 billion VND.

Seventeen officers from the unit served as Deputy Secretaries of Party Committees in border communes. The unit also dispatched more than 500 Party members to join activities at village-level Party cells. It mobilised residents to self-manage 274 kilometres of border lines and 126 border markers.

Over the past decade, 451 collectives and individuals were commended at various levels for their mass mobilisation work, including six individuals honoured at the central level and by the Border Guard High Command.
