Phieng Bay hamlet, Chieng Khay commune, Quynh Nhai district, is home to 212 households with over 1,000 residents. About 85% of them are the Red Dao ethnic people, who have lived there for generations.

Chieng Di 2 hamlet, Van Ho commune, Van Ho district is home to nearly 100 households of the Mong ethnic group.
