The event was held within the framework of the project on promoting the development of sustainable agro-forestry livelihood and green tourism models from community forest environmental service payments in Ngoc Chien, funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP), contributing to livelihood development associated with forest resource protection and sustainable tourism development in the locality.
After the launching ceremony, delegates and local residents planted 271 cherry trees along the road running through the rice fields from Luot hamlet to Muong Chien hamlet, while also supporting the planting of 10,000 Amomum villosum plants in Nam Nghep hamlet. The activity contributed to creating a greener landscape, raising awareness of forest protection, and building an environmentally friendly tourism space in the locality.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 100 backpacks, 50 caps, 50 T-shirts, and 500 notebooks to disadvantaged students at Ngoc Chien Secondary School.
