At the festival, local residents and visitors experienced the traditional cultural space of the Mong ethnic community and played pao (cloth ball) throwing - one of their traditional games. They also explored and shopped local agricultural specialties, including ancient Shan Tuyet tea, raspberry tea, honey, taro and upland glutinous rice.Teams compete in a tug-of-war competition.

Traditional sports and folk games, including tug-of-war, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, tu lu (spinning-top) competitions and glutinous rice cake pounding, attracted 180 athletes from eight teams representing the hamlets of Lung Khoai, Pac Be, Suoi To, Suoi Giong, Suoi O, Suoi Khang, Suoi Dinh and Tro.

With a spirit of solidarity, exchange and mutual learning, the athletes delivered exciting and fierce competitions, earning enthusiastic cheers from spectators.

The organising board presented first, second and third prizes to the top-performing  teams, along with eight first, eight second and 16 third prizes to athletes with outstanding results.Teams compete in a traditional crossbow shooting competition.

The highlight of the festival was an art programme entitled “The 2nd Mong Ethnic Cultural Night 2026”, featuring 16 carefully choreographed singing and dancing performances by singers and artists from the provincial Centre for Culture and Sports and teams from hamlets. The performances celebrated the natural beauty of the mountainous region, love for the homeland and country, and national pride.

The series of activities concluded with a low-altitude fireworks display at the commune People's Committee headquarters, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere and adding a spectacular highlight to the festival./.
