Viet Duc University Hospital surveys technology transfer at Son La General Hospital

A working delegation of Viet Duc University Hospital led by Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Long, Vice Director of the Training and Direction for Healthcare Activities Centre, visited to survey and evaluate professional activities, direction for healthcare activities, technology transfer and support for technical implementation at the Son La provincial General Hospital.

The leaders of the provincial General Hospital proposed the Viet Duc University Hospital support training and technology transfer in post-surgery pain relief methods for trauma, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and all-type polyp resection; nursing before and after urological trauma surgery; interventional radiology techniques and reading of magnetic resonance imaging results; multi-slice computed tomography; and andrology microsurgery.

After conducting a survey and assessment of the existing facilities, equipment, workforce and the capacity and ability to receive technical packages at departments in need, the delegation members discussed and evaluated the needs and capacity to receive technology transfer.

At the same time, they analysed and specified a number of contents and requirements in receiving technology transfer, while affirming that in the coming time, they will receive professional support as well as orientation for developing specialised techniques for the Son La General Hospital.

The signing of a professional cooperation agreement between the two hospitals. 

At the meeting, representatives of the two hospitals also signed a memorandum of understanding on professional cooperation, aiming to carry out advanced techniques, with the goal of improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people.
