Also attending the event were representatives of the Son La provincial Party Committee's Board for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, the Standing Board of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the provincial Border Guard Command and the Department of External Relations, among others.
In her opening remarks, Cam Thi Hong Duyen, Chairwoman of the Son La provincial Women's Union, said that the meeting provided an opportunity for the four provincial Women's Unions to exchange experience and effective models in women's affairs, share practical solutions to improve organisational performance and better support members. It also helped the four unions expand exchanges and cooperation in the spirit of solidarity, trust and mutual development, thereby helping strengthen the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Participants shared updates on their activities, reviewed the outcomes of women's affairs and movements in their respective localities, exchanged experience in implementing women-related programmes, and discussed the results of their cooperation as well as future directions for collaboration.
Leaders of the Women's Unions of the three Lao provinces expressed their hope that the Son La side will continue supporting the training of their officials, share experience in database development and digital transformation, and expand exchanges and cooperation through diverse activities to further strengthen the special friendship between the two countries.
