Working delegation of Naval Region 3 pays Tet visit to Con Co special zone

A working delegation from Naval Region 3, led by Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Naval Region 3, on January 27 visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to officers and soldiers of Radar Station 540 under Regiment 351, Naval Region 3, as well as to local forces and residents in the Con Co special zone of Quang Tri province.

Joining the delegation were representatives of the People’s Committees of Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, along with representatives from localities, agencies, organisations, clubs, enterprises, and journalists from central, local, and military media outlets.

The working delegation performs the flag-raising ceremony in the Con Co special zone (Quang Tri province).

Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Naval Region 3, along with the working delegation, offer incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the Con Co special zone.

At the meeting, the delegation warmly inquired after the health and living conditions of officers, soldiers, local forces, and residents, and extended New Year wishes of good health, happiness, peace, and prosperity.

The delegation expressed its appreciation and high regard for the solidarity and determination shown by the military and people of Con Co in overcoming difficulties while carrying out tasks of socio-economic development in association with strengthening national defence and security on the country’s frontline seas and islands.

Reporting to the delegation, leaders of the radar station and the Con Co special zone said that in recent years, thanks to the attention and support of the Party, the State, the military, the Vietnam People’s Navy, and Quang Tri province, the material and spiritual lives of officers, soldiers, and local forces and residents on the island have continued to improve.

The armed forces stationed on the island have strictly maintained combat readiness, while closely coordinating with other forces in the area to firmly safeguard sovereignty, security, and safety in the sea and island areas under their management.

The delegation offers incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House and the Martyrs' Monument in the Con Co special zone.

The delegation expressed hope that the Party committees, authorities, people, and officers and soldiers of the special zone would continue to uphold revolutionary traditions and the strong bond between the military and the people, strive to overcome difficulties, and build Con Co into an increasingly prosperous, strong, and resilient area.

At the same time, they called on armed forces units stationed in the special zone to continue coordinating closely with local authorities, caring for the lives of residents, supporting local economic development, and building an all-people defence posture combined with a people’s security posture at sea.

The delegation presents gifts to households in the Con Co special zone.

On this occasion, the Naval Region 3 delegation, together with localities, organisations, and enterprises, presented Tet gifts to the Party organisation, authorities, armed forces, and fishermen on the island, encouraging them to remain secure in performing their duties and to welcome a joyful, safe, and economical Tet, ready to enter the new year with high morale and determination.
