Now 83 households in the commune are engaged in cage fish farming, operating a total of 550 cages that raise catfish, carp, grass carp, and mono-sex tilapia. The total annual output is estimated at 280 tonnes of fish.

The commune has actively promoted the application of scientific and technical advances, encouraging farmers to adopt VietGAP process in fish care. It has also supported the establishment of the Muong Trai Agricultural and Fisheries Service Cooperative and the Minh Kha Fisheries Cooperative, both of which operate under a value chain model to ensure stable production and sale.
