During the first nine months of 2026, the steering committee advised the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on effectively implementing the Party Central Committee’s policies on preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness and negative practices. The policies were promptly disseminated, concretised and implemented across the province.
The committee focused on resolving six incidents and one case under its monitoring and supervision. It also accelerated the handling of 126 delayed or troubled projects that were at risk of causing losses or wastefuness, and addressed surplus public housing and land resulting from the restructuring of the organisational apparatus.
At the same time, the province strengthened inspection, examination and supervision, completing oversight of the implementation of five Politburo regulations on power control and the prevention and combating of corruption, waste and negative practices at 12 Party organisations.
Party organisations, agencies and units across the province implemented a range of measures to prevent corruption, wastefulness and negative practices, while strengthening transparency, financial and public-asset management, administrative reform and digital transformation. They also promoted the supervisory roles of the People’s Council, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organisations, the media and the public, contributing to Party building and rectification and strengthening public confidence.
In his concluding remarks, Nghiem called on members of the steering committee and relevant agencies to continue advising on the effective implementation of policies and measures adopted by the Party Central Committee, the provincial Party Committee and the steering committee.
He also called for amendments and supplements to the steering committee’s working regulations and the assignment of responsibilities to its members to be completed in October 2026, and for all inspections and supervision activities to be finished by November 10, 2026.
The steering committee and relevant agencies were instructed to closely monitor and expedite the resolution of incidents and criminal cases under supervision, advise the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee on regulations governing power control at the commune level, and review coordination mechanisms with commune- and ward-level Party committees.
They were also asked to review the coordination mechanism between the provincial Party Committee’s Boards for Internal Affairs and Inspection in internal affairs, the prevention and combating of corruption, wastefulness and negative practices, as well as inspection, supervision and Party discipline.
The provincial leader urged members of the steering committee to remain focused, fully exercise their roles and responsibilities in line with their functions and duties, strengthen coordination and ensure the effective implementation of the committee’s work programme and plans./.
