“Ve Ban Em” gameshow returns to Huoi Mot after 10 years.
More than 50 artisans and amateur artists from Keo, Nam Pu and Co Kieng hamlets took part in the gameshow, competing in three categories: Traditional crafts, singing, and folk games.
In the "traditional craft" category, male contestants competed to weave the “Chu Co Sa” basket while female contestants made “Tam Khau Mak Nga,” a traditional black sesame cake, within 15 minutes. In the “folk games” category, the teams competed in a 10-minute stilt-walking challenge to collect longan.
The competitions provided an enjoyable and engaging platform for the teams to showcase their talents, while creating opportunities for artisans, amateur artists and local residents to interact and connect with each other. The programme contributed to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, strengthening community solidarity, and fostering pride in and awareness of safeguarding local cultural identity.
At the end of the gameshow, the organising board presented first prize to the Keo team, second prize to the Nam Pu team, and third prize to the Co Kieng team.
On this occasion, the Son La Newspaper and Radio-Television presented six gifts to families facing difficulties in Huoi Mot commune.
