The event brought together 50 artisans and amateur performers from four hamlets: Suoi To, Tro, Lung Khoai and Suoi Khang. Teams competed in three categories: “Craftsmanship and Skills,” “Singing and Instrumental Performance,” and “Folk Games and Traditional Ethnic Sports.”
Each category offered a distinctive cultural experience, from the dexterity and creativity involved in making handicrafts to folk songs and dances inspired by mountain life, as well as traditional games that foster community bonds. The enthusiasm of the contestants and the strong support from local residents created a lively, festive atmosphere, highlighting the richness of Mong cultural life in the highlands of Suoi To.
The “Ve Ban Em” gameshow provided an opportunity for artisans and community arts groups from the hamlets to exchange experiences and learn from one another. It also helped foster local pride and encourage efforts to preserve and promote the traditional cultural heritage of the Mong people.
Following the competitions, the organisers presented first, second and third prizes to the participating teams.
On the occasion, the Minh Tam Centre for Inclusive Education Development, a supporting partner of the event, presented eight gift packages to policy beneficiary households in the commune, each worth 500,000 VND (19.35 USD)./.
