Border commune removes six substandard houses

The border commune of Chieng Khua in Moc Chau township identified six households still living in makeshift or dilapidated houses. To date, the commune has coordinated with the township’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and philanthropists to build five new houses and repair one, with a total budget of VND330 million (12,690 USD).

Chieng Khua encourages local residents to contribute workdays to help construct houses for poor and solitary households.

This support has helped disadvantaged families in the commune secure stable housing, giving them peace of mind to work, improve their livelihoods, and gradually escape poverty, thus contributing to the implementation of the National Target Programme on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
