Breeding stock and animal feed provided for poor households

The Agriculture and Environment Division of Yen Chau district, in cooperation with AHH Tay Bac JSC, has provided 112 breeding cows and 22.4 tonnes of animal feed along with other supplies including disinfectants, broad-spectrum antibiotics, silage probiotics, and silage bags to 112 poor households in Long Phieng and Sap Vat communes. The total funding exceeded 3.2 billion VND (123,050 USD).

The delivery was part of Subproject 3 on agricultural production support under the National Target Programme on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021–2025 period.

In addition to providing livestock and materials, the households also received training on biosecurity cattle farming techniques, disease prevention and treatment, and methods for fermenting and preserving feed to ensure healthy livestock development.

Meanwhile, under the livestock development support project funded by the National Target Programme for Socioeconomic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas (2021–2025), Lang Cheu commune in Bac Yen district has recently handed over 38 breeding horses valued at 1.14 billion VND to 38 poor and near-poor households with a need to expand livestock farming. The breeding horses had all been quality-tested and vaccinated to meet breeding and health standards.
