Currently, the commune has over 2,000 households, of which poor families account for 30.2%; and near-poor ones 8.02%. The total number of households living in makeshift and dilapidated houses is 58. The management board has encouraged agencies, businesses, and individuals to contribute funds to support the demolition of these houses.
The house handed over to Phu's family has a total area of 60.5sq.m. It cost 170 million VND (6,916 USD), of which nearly 45 million VND came from the management board and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) - Son La branch, and the rest came from the family's budget. Local people and mass organisations contributed 95 working days. It is expected to help this family stabilise their life and get rid of poverty.
