Charity Tet market held in Muoi Noi commune

The provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Red Cross Society of Thuan Chau district and sponsors, organized a charity market for the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025 in Muoi Noi commune on January 18.

 People are shopping at the "zero dong" booth.

The programme provided support to 400 disadvantaged families who suffered damage from natural disasters in 2024 from Muoi Noi, Bon Phang, and Nam Lau communes. These families received "zero dong" shopping vouchers. With each voucher worth 900,000 VND (35.5 USD), they are able to purchase essential goods such as cooking oil, seasoning powder, noodles, candies, instant noodles, blankets, clothes, books, and shampoo.

On this occasion, the provincial Red Cross Society awarded certificates of merit to 23 individuals for their outstanding contributions to charity activities in Son La province in 2024. Additionally, the organisation presented certificates of recognition to two sponsors for their donations.

The Red Cross Society of Thuan Chau district also gave certificates of recognition to four sponsors. The Thuan Chau Association for the Support of the Disabled and Orphaned Children donated 15 gift packages to people with disabilities from Muoi Noi, Nam Lau, and Bon Phang communes, each valued at 500,000 VND.
