Currently, the total number of people of working age in the district stands at 66,805. Around 2,000 workers are employed locally at 67 companies, 24 hydropower plants, and one garment factory. Additionally, approximately 10,000 residents seek employment opportunities annually in other provinces, with an average monthly income of 7-9 million VND (345 USSD) per person. During the conference, commune and town represenatives reported on the current labour export situation in their respective localities. Discussions centered on identifying solutions to enhance outreach efforts and encourage more residents to pursue work abroad.

Key recommendations included providing accurate and comprehensive information about foreign labour markets, financial support policies, skills and language training, and strengthening the role of mass organisations in connecting workers with reputable recruitment agencies.

On this occasion, the Tourist, Trade and Labour Export JSC also addressed questions regarding its overseas employment programmes, including salary expectations and benefits for those interested in working in countries such as Qatar, Taiwan, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.
