Exchange-seminar highlights law dissemination in Son La

The Political Department under the Border Guard High Command, in coordination with the Army Radio and Television Centre, organised a seminar themed “Bright spots in law dissemination in the mountainous region” in Chieng Son commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province, on October 8.

Chieng Son is a border commune in Moc Chau district. Over the past year years, law dissemination and education in the commune have been concertedly and regularly implemented by armed forces and local authorities, contributing to raising the awareness of law enforcement among ethnic groups there. Chieng Son has been considered a bright spot in the rollout of the project on "Promoting the role of the People's Army in law dissemination and education, and encouraging people to observe laws at the grassroots level in the 2021-2027 period" launched by the Ministry of National Defence.

During the programme, participants had an opportunity to watch documentaries on efforts in law dissemination and education by armed forces in Son La province; models in the fight against drug crimes and social behaviour at the Chieng Son Border Guard Station; and outstanding officers in the information work and in encouraging local residents to abide by laws at the Chieng On Border Guard Station in Yen Chau district.

There was also an exchange where the participants shared advantages, difficulties, outcomes and good models in law dissemination and education, and the fight against drug crimes and social behaviour in border areas in Son La.
